Hi, I’m Liza, a Chartered (BPS) & Registered (HCPC) Counselling Psychologist with over 18 years experience of providing assessment & psychological therapy for adults experiencing a variety of mental health & life difficulties.
As a part-time lecturer in Applied Psychology, I contribute to the practitioner doctoral programs in Counselling Psychology, Sport and Exercise Psychology and Health Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University. I have been involved in research for over 20 years, publishing widely. Most recently, this includes leading the development of a psychometrically valid measure of Psychological Safety and what I've termed Psychologically Informed Medicine.
I recently co-authored 'Healing Hearts and Minds: A holistic approach to coping well with Congenital Heart Disease' published by Oxford University Press, New York, Jan 2023. This is the first book to focus on the psychosocial, emotional, and practical challenges in living with a heart condition from birth.
Please note, for the time being, due to other commitments, I am not in a position to take on any new clients or supervisees.
